When the system requirements says 'Pentium class PC' does this mean it will only work with a Pentium CPU? or is like the old 'IBM compatible' designation? In short will it work with an Athlon xp1600?

Would this be better than getting a 4 port USB hub and plugging it in to my motherboards USB sockets?
If you can afford to take up one of your PCI slots then it will be more beneficial, as you will be able to take advantage of the faster USB ports speed. Also if you want a tidy system this PCI card would be better that an external hub. Hope that helps
